Virtual Heroes Teams with Systems Kinetics on VA Contract
The Virtual Heroes Division of Applied Research Associates has been selected by prime Systems Kinetics as a teammate on the $84 million, five-year Serious Educational Games Solutions (SEGS) contract. The contract for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will provide virtual environments for training healthcare providers to treat the nation’s Veterans.
“We are excited to be a part of this excellent team to support the VA,” said Randy Brown, ARA VP and Virtual Heroes Division Manager. “Our over a decade of virtual medical training experience combined with our other teammate’s capabilities will provide excellent value to the VA in training their heathcare providers.”
To the SEGS team, Virtual Heroes brings experienced instructional designers and creative, technical, and artistic talent experienced in working with a wide variety of delivery methods, including e-learning formats, 3D simulations and serious games, and instructor-led or facilitated classroom training. Virtual Heroes’ experience includes the development of high-fidelity virtual patients, virtual clinical environments, and an advanced real-time physiology engine that can be used across training environments.
