‘GO’ Platform

GO brings high-fidelity, immersive training environments to any Windows computer through a web browser. Central access to GO’s training modules via the web is easy and training content and records are always up-to-date. GO can be hosted on your IT infrastructure or by Applied Research Associates, Inc.

GO is a single/multi-player immersive training and education platform based on Epic Games’ Unreal® Engine 3. GO consists of a series of ActiveX/Netscape plug-ins that contain the Unreal Engine connected to backend computer server infrastructure. Content released on the GO platform is accessed via a web server that provides pages containing content plug-ins as well as an interface to access specific training applications, as authorized by the user database. A sample plug-in is available to allow visitors to meet and converse in a 3D showcase environment and provides a way for users to navigate to other training environments. Browsers currently supported are: Internet Explorer 8 and 9, Firefox 3 and 4, Chrome, Opera.

Unreal Technology

Unreal Engine 3 (UE3) is a ‘Made in the USA’ complete development framework for PCs, Xbox 360®, iOS, Android™ and PlayStation® 3, providing a vast array of core technologies, content creation tools, and support infrastructure content.

UE3 is integrated with leading middleware technologies through Epic Games’ Integrated Partners Program. Continual optimizations are made to the Unreal Engine’s highly mature tool pipeline, massive world support and multi-processor performance. UE3’s advanced toolset is designed specifically to accelerate developers’ productivity for ultra-complex, next-generation content.

From entertainment software to training simulations, the Unreal Engine provides the platform and tools needed to develop cutting-edge 3D projects. UE3 is the four-time winner and Hall of Fame recipient of Game Developer magazine’s Best Engine Front Line Award. Develop magazine calls it the number one game engine as well.
